Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, September 2025 – RB Global Inc. (NYSE: RBA) (TSX: RBA) has announced the appointment of Jen Schmit as its new Chief People Officer. In this role, Schmit will be responsible for leading global people strategy, talent development, and organizational culture across RB Global’s expansive network, reinforcing its position as a leading omnichannel marketplace for commercial assets and vehicles.
Schmit joined RB Global in December 2024 as Executive Vice President, People Team, where she played a critical role in driving organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and people initiatives on a global scale. Her contributions during this period laid a strong foundation for her elevation to Chief People Officer.
Prior to RB Global, Schmit had a long and impactful tenure at Caliber Collision, where she spent nearly nine years. She began as Vice President Human Resources, leading HR functions across a fast-growing business, before being promoted to Senior Vice President Talent & Development. In this role, she spearheaded enterprise-wide learning, leadership, and talent strategies that supported Caliber’s rapid expansion across the United States.
Earlier in her career, Schmit held the position of Director of Talent Acquisition at Schwan’s Company, where she was responsible for shaping the organization’s enterprise-wide recruitment strategy, including employment branding, diversity initiatives, and college and veteran hiring programs. She also worked at Prime Therapeutics as Talent Acquisition Manager and Senior Executive Recruiter, where she further strengthened her expertise in executive hiring and strategic sourcing.
Schmit began her career in recruitment, gaining foundational HR experience with Regions Hospital as a Physician Recruiter, UnitedHealth Group as a Recruitment Associate, and Target as a Recruitment Specialist. These early roles provided her with a deep understanding of workforce dynamics, talent acquisition, and employee engagement, which have shaped her leadership approach throughout her career.
