Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, January 2025 – Jennifer Buchness has been named as the new Vice President of Human Resources at Athena Global Advisors, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record in human resources and organizational leadership. In her new role, Jennifer will oversee HR strategies to drive Athena’s vision forward, emphasizing employee engagement, talent management, and cultural transformation.
Jennifer’s tenure at Athena Global Advisors spans three years, where she has taken on progressively senior roles. Prior to her new position, she served as Senior Director of Human Resources, a role she assumed in August 2024, and as Director, starting in January 2022. In these roles, she was instrumental in shaping HR policies, fostering leadership development, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.

Before joining Athena, Jennifer spent over 12 years at The Wharton School, where she held various leadership positions. As Senior Associate Director of Wharton Events, she drove event and marketing strategies, managing high-profile projects including multiple MBA graduation ceremonies. Prior to that, she served as Senior Associate Director of Global Clubs, spearheading innovative programming and fostering alumni engagement worldwide. Jennifer also led efforts as Associate Director of Global Forums, organizing large-scale international conferences to enhance Wharton’s global presence.
Earlier in her career, Jennifer contributed to the growth and success of organizations like Amuneal Manufacturing Corp., where she acted as Executive Assistant, and in the Film and Television Industry, managing production budgets and planning for projects such as M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Village” and the film “Invincible.”
