Joana Roda Appointed as Chief People & Sustainability Officer at Colep Packaging

Vale de Cambra, Aveiro, Portugal, July 2025 – Joana Roda has taken on the expanded role of Chief People & Sustainability Officer at Colep Packaging, further strengthening the company’s commitment to people development, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration. In her new position, she oversees the strategic and operational agenda across People, Communication, and Sustainability for Colep’s operations in Portugal, Spain, Poland, and Mexico.

As part of this promotion, Joana will continue to lead the design and execution of global people strategies, implement scalable HR systems, and champion key initiatives in talent development, compensation, organizational culture, and ESG strategy. She also remains a key member of the Executive Team, actively contributing to business decisions and transformation programs that align with Colep’s purpose-driven agenda.

Over the past over four years at Colep Packaging, Joana has held multiple key leadership roles, including People & Culture Director, Corporate HR Manager for Organisational Design and Compensation, and Talent Development & Communication Manager. Her leadership during this time has helped implement the company’s global people strategy, launch its EVP initiative, strengthen its governance model, and develop a performance-first, culturally aligned workforce.

Prior to joining Colep Packaging, Joana spent close to six years at Nors Group as Organizational Development Manager and Head of Human Capital & Corporate Communication, where she led global recruitment strategies, performance management systems, mobility programs, and internal communication frameworks across multiple continents.

Her early career includes over four years with CECOA – Centro de Formação Profissional as Training Coordinator, and she also served as Executive Director at Grow_ Formação Profissional, where she was responsible for business strategy, sales, and team development.

Joana is also an active member of DCH – Organización Internacional de Directivos de Capital Humano, reflecting her strong alignment with global HR leadership communities.
