Pune, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Lakshmi Menon has joined Workday as Director of Talent Acquisition, bringing with her nearly two decades of global experience in strategic hiring, workforce planning, and people leadership. In her new role, Lakshmi will lead Workday’s talent acquisition strategy for India, with a strong focus on recruitment excellence, innovation, and diversity to build a future-ready workforce.
Lakshmi’s appointment underscores Workday’s commitment to strengthening its global talent agenda and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture. She will be responsible for shaping and implementing hiring strategies that align with Workday’s business objectives, enhancing candidate experience, and advancing the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Before joining Workday, Lakshmi led recruitment for McKinsey & Company’s India Consulting Office, where she drove large-scale talent transformation programs and operational efficiency across multiple practices. At BlackRock, she played a pivotal role as Vice President – Recruitment Lead, APAC, embedding DEI principles into hiring practices and leading strategic initiatives that supported growth across the region.
Previously, Lakshmi held senior HR leadership roles at Standard Chartered, HCLTech, and Accenture, where she managed recruitment delivery across technology, infrastructure, and business services. She began her career at Unilever as a Human Resources intern, gaining early exposure to corporate talent functions. Over her 19-year career, Lakshmi has earned a reputation for designing scalable hiring frameworks, building strong leadership pipelines, and enabling organizations to attract and retain top talent globally.
An alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur, where she completed her post-graduate studies in Human Capital Management, Lakshmi is known for her ability to integrate human insight with business strategy. Her leadership at Workday is expected to strengthen the company’s position as a destination employer for top talent worldwide.
