Reston, Virginia, United States, January 2025 – Empower AI has announced the appointment of Laura Evans as Vice President, Human Resources. In her new role, Evans will be a key C-suite executive team member, overseeing the Human Resources business unit and leading strategic HR initiatives that align with the company’s business objectives. She will manage critical HR functions including Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Employee Engagement.
Before joining Empower AI, Evans served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Oasis Systems LLC for approximately 2 years, where she was instrumental in steering HR strategy across M&A functions, talent acquisition, and employee engagement programs. She achieved a $5 million annual savings by transitioning to a self-insured benefits program and spearheaded initiatives that enhanced employee retention and performance management.
Earlier, she held the role of Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Oasis Systems LLC for 6 years, where she played a critical role in expanding the workforce from 300 to 2,500 employees and integrated HR processes during mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to her tenure at Oasis, Evans was the Vice President of Human Resources at MAR, Incorporated, where she contributed significantly to the company’s ISO-9001 certification and supported successful M&A transitions for over 12 years.
