Johannesburg, South Africa, September 2024 – Lerato Morathi has been appointed as the new Head of Human Capital at Alexforbes, where he will lead and oversee the company’s human resources strategy and operations.
Lerato Morathi recently joined Alexforbes as Head of Human Capital in September 2024. In his new role, he is responsible for shaping and implementing strategic HR initiatives to support the company’s business goals and enhance overall organizational performance.
Before joining Alexforbes, Lerato was with Discovery Limited, serving as the Divisional Manager: HR Business Partner. During his tenure, he led key HR strategies and managed a team of HR Managers to align with Discovery Health’s business objectives. His role involved collaborating with executive leadership and overseeing the HR function to support operational needs and foster talent development.
Prior to Discovery Limited, Lerato was the Divisional Manager: People Strategic Enablement Senior Specialist at Discovery Health. In this position, he spearheaded HR strategy development, managed organizational effectiveness initiatives, and led various people-related programs, including transformation and diversity efforts.
Earlier, he worked as an HR Manager at Discovery Health, where he managed HR, talent acquisition, and training teams, focusing on enhancing organizational performance and employee development.
Before his time at Discovery Health, Lerato served as a Group HR Business Partner at NTT, supporting the Global Information Systems team with talent acquisition, global mobility, and organizational design initiatives.
His career also includes a role as HR Business Partner at Internet Solutions, where he developed and implemented talent strategies and wellness programs while supporting organizational change and employee engagement.
Lerato began his career as a Learning and Development Facilitator at BSI Steel (PTY) Ltd, where he designed and delivered training programs to enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness.
