Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – April 2026 – Lockton has appointed Mohammed Alrowais as Chief Executive Officer, entrusting him with leading the company’s strategic growth agenda, strengthening client relationships, enhancing operational excellence, and expanding Lockton’s presence across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In his new role, Alrowais will oversee the company’s business operations and growth strategy, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver innovative insurance, reinsurance, and risk management solutions while supporting Lockton’s continued expansion in one of the region’s most dynamic insurance markets.
Alrowais brings more than 15 years of experience across insurance, reinsurance, risk management, claims management, and business leadership. Prior to joining Lockton, he served as Reinsurance Director at MEDGULF Saudi Arabia, where he was responsible for leading the company’s reinsurance strategy and strengthening relationships with global reinsurance partners.
Before MEDGULF, he held the position of Senior Manager – Reinsurance at Malath Insurance, contributing to the development and execution of reinsurance programs that supported the company’s growth and risk management objectives.
Earlier in his career, Alrowais spent more than a decade with Tawuniya, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading insurance providers. During his tenure, he progressed through several leadership positions including Treaty Reinsurance Manager, P&C Non-Marine Claims Manager, Treaty Reinsurance Specialist, and Reinsurance Executive. Across these roles, he developed extensive expertise in treaty negotiations, claims management, risk transfer strategies, and insurance operations.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, Alrowais currently serves as a Member of the General Insurance and Reinsurance Subcommittee at the Saudi Insurance Authority (هيئة التأمين | Insurance Authority), contributing to the development and advancement of the Kingdom’s insurance and reinsurance ecosystem.
His appointment comes at a time of significant growth and transformation within Saudi Arabia’s insurance sector, driven by economic diversification initiatives, regulatory modernization, and increasing demand for sophisticated risk management solutions.
With his extensive industry experience, leadership capabilities, and deep understanding of the regional insurance landscape, Alrowais is well positioned to lead Lockton’s next phase of growth in Saudi Arabia.
