Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, April 2026 — Manish Shekhar has taken on a new role as Assistant Vice President at Kalpataru Projects International Limited, bringing extensive experience across strategic HR, HR business partnering, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, HR operations, industrial relations, and organizational effectiveness.
In his new role at Kalpataru Projects International Limited, Manish Shekhar will contribute to the company’s people and business priorities as it continues to strengthen its global engineering, procurement, and construction operations. His appointment adds strong HR leadership depth to KPIL’s growing workforce and business ecosystem.
Before joining Kalpataru Projects International Limited, Manish served as General Manager HR at JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd., where he played a key role in strengthening HR functions and employee engagement. His work included launching initiatives such as “Lakshmi Star Of The Quarter” and the “Yes We Can” training program for sales effectiveness, while also supporting recruitment cost reduction, manpower optimization, talent development, and productivity enhancement.
Earlier at JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd., Manish served as DGM HR, contributing to HR strategy, performance management, and business-aligned HR initiatives. His association with the company also included an earlier stint as HR Manager, where he worked across performance management, talent management, and people processes.
Prior to this, Manish worked as AGM HR at Subros Limited, where he focused on HR excellence, talent management, employee engagement, and strategic alignment. He initiated programs such as LEAD for talent development, implemented SAP SuccessFactors to streamline performance management, launched a Train the Trainer initiative, supported policy benchmarking, and contributed to HR best-practice recognition including ACMA Gold and CII HR Excellence awards.
Manish also served as HR Business Partner at Avery Dennison, where he handled talent acquisition, engagement, retention, HR, IR, and administration across Gurgaon and Mumbai sites. His responsibilities included HR projects across employee relations, attrition, engagement, capability building, policy implementation, learning and development, rewards and recognition, labour compliance, audits, performance systems, CSR activities, grievance redressal, and welfare committees.
His earlier career includes serving as Manager HR at Mahindra & Mahindra, where he worked on recruitment strategy, training programs, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. He began his professional journey as a Management Trainee at Krishna Maruti Ltd., contributing to talent management, MIS generation, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
