Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2026 — Shailendra Salvi has been appointed as Chairman at Yaskawa India Private Limited, in addition to continuing as President & CEO, marking a significant milestone in the company’s leadership journey.
In this expanded role, Shailendra Salvi will steer long-term vision, governance, and strategic growth for Yaskawa India Private Limited, further strengthening the company’s position in the industrial automation sector. His leadership brings deep experience across industrial systems, motion control, drives, renewable energy, operations, business strategy, P&L management, customer expansion, alliances, and organizational development.
Shailendra has been associated with Yaskawa India Private Limited for more than a decade. Before being appointed Chairman, he served as President & CEO, leading the company’s business strategy and growth agenda in India. He has also held roles including Chief Operations Officer and Deputy COO, where he focused on growth strategy, resource management, talent retention, mentoring, profitable growth, P&L management, customer base expansion, brand development, alliances, acquisitions, and building a world-class organization focused on value creation for customers.
In addition to his leadership role at Yaskawa India Private Limited, Shailendra has also served as Member Board of Directors at Kemppi India Pvt Ltd, reflecting his broader governance and industrial leadership experience.
Before joining Yaskawa India Private Limited, Shailendra served as Executive Vice President at Hitachi Hi-Rel Power Electronics Pvt. Ltd., where he led the drives and renewable business. His work focused on low-voltage and medium-voltage drives, renewable energy, business leadership, and industrial power electronics.
Earlier, he was Managing Director – India & Middle East at Vacon Drives & Controls Pvt Ltd, where he led business operations across India and the Middle East. He also served as a board member at Vacon Drives & Controls Pvt Ltd and Kemppi India Pvt Ltd, building strong leadership experience in drives, industrial automation, governance, and regional business growth.
Shailendra’s earlier career includes a long association with Danfoss, where he served as Regional Manager – South & East and was responsible for marketing, sales, service activity, partner programs, and service management. He also worked with ABB in multiple roles, growing from service engineer to Business Manager – AC Drives, building strong technical and commercial expertise in drives and automation.
His early professional journey includes roles with Mormugao Port Trust as Junior Engineer, where he worked on maintenance of barge loaders, unloaders, and cranes, and with Finolex Cables Ltd as Engineer, where he contributed to project management.
