About Catalyx Space
Catalyx Space is developing reusable reentry systems designed to return payloads from orbit. Its ReX vehicles are being developed to support payload returns at scale, with the company describing capabilities of up to 12 tons and 60 cubic metres of cargo while covering the mission lifecycle from launch through recovery.
At the centre of its technology is an origami-inspired deployable heat shield, designed to combine the scalability of an inflatable system with the robustness of a rigid structure. Catalyx Space is developing the technology as a scalable pathway for returning payloads ranging from commercial cargo to future space-based assets.
