New Delhi, India, August 2026 — Campus Activewear Limited, India’s largest omnichannel sports and athleisure footwear brand, today announced the appointment of Rakesh Thakur as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) making him one of the Company’s Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs). Bringing close to 23 years of experience across leading consumer organizations, Rakesh will work closely with the leadership team and Board to strengthen financial governance, drive capital efficiency and support the company’s next phase of profitable growth.

Rakesh brings extensive experience across business finance, profitable growth, transformation, supply chain finance, governance and M&A/integration. Prior to joining Campus Activewear, he served as Group Chief Financial Officer at boAt (Imagine Marketing Limited), where he worked closely with the founders, CEO, Board and leadership team to shape the company’s financial and strategic agenda and strengthen the organization for its public market journey. During his tenure, he drove profitable growth, improved EBITDA, strengthened cash flow and working capital, reduced debts, and enhanced governance across the organization.

Prior to boAt, Rakesh held senior leadership roles at Hindustan Unilever and GSK Consumer Healthcare, leading initiatives across finance transformation, integration, business restructuring and supply chain strategy. His earlier career at Samsung India and PepsiCo India further adds to his breadth of experience across large-scale consumer businesses. Rakesh has received notable recognition during his career, including the Unilever Global Recognition for the GSK-HUL Virtual Merger and the GSK ISC CEO Excellence Award.

Rakesh joins Campus at a time of strong business momentum. In Q1 FY27, the company reported revenue of INR 385.2 crore, up 12.2% YoY, with sales volumes growing 11.7% to 57.1 million pairs. PAT grew 17.7% YoY to INR 26.1 crore, reflecting resilient profitability despite cost pressures during the quarter. The company continues to see broad-based growth across categories, with Women’s and Kids’ emerging as key growth drivers.

Against this backdrop, Rakesh will partner closely with the leadership team and Board, with a focus on financial efficiency, margins, cash generation, capital allocation and governance, while building scalable systems and processes to support the company’s long-term growth ambitions.

Commenting on the appointment, Nikhil Aggarwal, CEO, Campus Activewear, said:“Rakesh brings a strong combination of financial leadership, consumer business experience and a proven track record of building financial discipline through phases of rapid growth. As Campus Activewear enters its next phase of scale, his experience will be valuable in strengthening our financial architecture, enhancing capital efficiency and enabling sharper decision-making across the organization. We are delighted to welcome Rakesh to the Campus leadership team and look forward to his contribution as we continue to build a stronger, more agile and sustainable business.”

Rakesh Thakur, Chief Financial Officer, Campus Activewear, said, “Campus has built a strong and differentiated position in India’s sports and athleisure footwear market, backed by a strong brand, growing consumer relevance and a robust omnichannel presence. Having built my career across consumer-focused businesses, I have developed a strong understanding of the dynamics that drive sustainable growth, operational efficiency and long-term value creation. I look forward to bringing this experience to Campus and contributing to its next phase of growth. I am delighted to join the organisation at such an exciting stage of its journey. My focus will be on accelerating sustainable growth across revenue and margins, while strengthening financial discipline, improving capital efficiency and building scalable processes. At the same time, we will remain focused on creating sustainable, long-term value for our shareholders.”

With strong category participation, expanding distribution, continued product innovation and disciplined execution, Campus Activewear remains focused on building a scalable and profitable business while strengthening its position in India’s evolving sports and athleisure footwear market.
