With over two decades of experience across hospitality, healthcare, and retail, Kalappa will play a key role in shaping the organization’s people, culture and organisational capabilities as SPARSH continues to scale.
In his role as Group CHRO, Kalappa will play a key role in shaping SPARSH’s people, culture and organisational capabilities as the group enters its next phase of growth. His focus will be on strengthening leadership, driving talent and development strategies, fostering a high-performance culture and creating an employee experience that enables people to thrive. Working under the leadership of Mr. Jasdeep Singh, Group CEO, SPARSH Hospitals, Kalappa will lead the transformation of SPARSH’s people practices through agile HR, technology and AI, enabling a more future-ready and data-driven organisation. Prior to joining SPARSH Hospitals, Kalappa served as Chief People Officer at Mountain Trail Foods Pvt. Ltd. (Chai Point). His career spans leadership roles across healthcare organisations including Columbia Asia Hospitals and Aster DM Healthcare, as well as leading hospitality brands such as InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Taj Hotels. His experience includes HR transformation & Digitization, talent management, leadership development and organisational change.
