London, United Kingdom, September 2024 – Mark Ashton has started his new role as Head of EMEA Talent Acquisition at Blackstone, where he will lead recruitment efforts across the EMEA region, focusing on attracting top talent to support the firm’s growing operations. With his extensive experience in talent acquisition and executive search, Mark will play a crucial role in Blackstone’s continued success in the alternative asset management space.
Prior to joining Blackstone, Mark Ashton served as the Global Head of Talent Acquisition – Financial Solutions at Bloomberg for nearly two years, overseeing global recruitment strategies. During this time, he played a key role in streamlining recruitment operations and aligning talent acquisition strategies with Bloomberg’s financial product offerings.
Before this global role, Mark was the EMEA Head of Talent Acquisition for Bloomberg’s Financial Solutions division, where he led recruitment across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for over three years. His leadership helped enhance Bloomberg’s talent pipelines and improve the firm’s ability to attract specialized candidates in the competitive financial services industry.
Earlier in his career, Mark worked as a Recruitment Partner for Bloomberg’s Financial Products division, focusing on EMEA recruitment for nearly two years. He also spent over eight years as an Executive Search Consultant with The Omerta Group, where he honed his skills in identifying and recruiting top executive talent.
Mark’s journey in recruitment began with an internship at the Whitney Group, where he gained valuable insights into the executive search process and built the foundation for his future career.
