MTN Group, a leading telecommunications giant, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ali Monzer as the Chief Executive Officer of its South Sudan operations, taking effect from 1 April 2024. This strategic move comes as Gordian Kyomukama, the predecessor, steps into retirement following a commendable tenure at MTN.
Ali Monzer steps into this prestigious role backed by an extensive 23-year career in the telecommunications sector. His journey with MTN began in 2004, during which he has climbed the ranks to hold several senior positions, including his most recent role as the Chief Technology and Information Officer at MTN Uganda. Monzer’s career highlights include remarkable achievements in enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing costs, driving market growth, and improving customer satisfaction. His educational background is equally impressive, holding a master’s degree in computer communication engineering, along with numerous pertinent industry certifications.
