London, England, United Kingdom, November 2024 – Pamela Godson has been appointed as Head of Human Resources at MSIG UK. In her new role, Pamela will lead strategic HR initiatives, drive organizational effectiveness, and support the business’s growth by fostering a robust and inclusive workplace culture. MSIG UK, a subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, is recognized for its comprehensive commercial insurance solutions.
Prior to joining MSIG UK, Pamela took a career break to focus on personal projects, including providing pro bono HR consulting. During this time, she also served as a Board Trustee at Kids on Track Charity, offering HR guidance and supporting organizational growth initiatives.
Previously, Pamela was the Group Human Resources Director at Lancashire Insurance Group. Reporting to the Group CEO, she led the HR functions across multiple geographies, including London, Australia, and Bermuda, with a focus on strategic HR planning, succession planning, and employee wellness.
Before Lancashire, Pamela served as Senior Human Resources Manager at Markel International, where she managed the HR business partner team and provided strategic HR support across the UK and Europe.
Pamela’s earlier roles include Interim HR Business Partner at PA Consulting, Senior HR Business Partner at Lloyds Banking Group, and HR Business Partner and Global Recruitment Manager at Actis LLP, among others. Her career showcases a strong foundation in strategic HR leadership, organizational change, and talent management.
