Phillip Clark Appointed as Vice President of Global Human Resources at Claire's

Hoffman Estates, Illinois, United States, July 2024 – Phillip Clark has taken on a new role as Vice President of Global Human Resources at Claire’s. In this capacity, Phillip will oversee the company’s global HR strategies, focusing on enhancing organizational culture, talent management, and HR operations.

Phillip Clark brings extensive experience to his new position at Claire’s. Over the past three years, he has held multiple significant roles within the company. As Executive Director, HR Business Partner – Corporate Functions and Global Talent, he was instrumental in shaping HR strategies that supported corporate functions and talent development. Prior to that, he served as Director of Talent Development, where he led initiatives to foster employee growth and development.

Before joining Claire’s, Phillip contributed his expertise to the Boy Scouts of America for over thirteen years. His roles included Board Member – Three Harbors Council, Scoutmaster, and Assistant Scoutmaster, among others. His commitment to leadership and youth development was evident through his dedicated service.

Phillip also held key positions at Core-Mark International, including Sr. Director Talent and Development and Director, Talent & Development. At SC Johnson, his career spanned nearly 18 years, where he served in various capacities, such as Global Process Lead, Human Resources – Global Commercial, Director, Human Resources – NA Sales, and Sr. Manager, Human Resources – Global Information & Technology. His roles at SC Johnson involved overseeing HR programs, employee relations, and recruitment, contributing to the company’s success.

Phillip’s early career included roles at Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (now BMO Harris Bank), where he managed college recruiting and corporate training programs. He also served as a Training Specialist at the same organization, developing and facilitating training programs for employees.
