New Delhi, Delhi, India, June 2026 — Premlata has assumed the responsibility of Executive Director (HR) at NTPC Limited. A seasoned HR leader with more than three decades of experience in human resources management, talent development, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, and leadership development, Premlata has built an extensive career within the NTPC ecosystem and its associated organizations.
Prior to her elevation, she served as Chief General Manager (Regional Head of HR), Western Region-II, NTPC Limited and CHRO, NSPCL, where she led strategic human resources initiatives, talent management programs, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development across the region. Earlier, she also held the position of General Manager (Regional Head of HR), Western Region-II, NTPC Limited and CHRO, NSPCL.
A significant chapter of her leadership journey has been with NSPCL (NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited), where she served as Chief Human Resources Officer, driving HR transformation, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, leadership development, and capability-building initiatives.Within NTPC, Premlata progressed through several key leadership roles including Additional General Manager (HR), AGM (HR), Senior Manager (HR), Officer (HR), and began her career with the organization as an Executive Trainee (Personnel). Her long-standing association with NTPC reflects deep expertise in people management, HR strategy, industrial relations, workforce development, and organizational leadership.
With her extensive experience across the power sector and human resources leadership, Premlata is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing NTPC’s people strategy, leadership development agenda, organizational excellence, and workforce transformation initiatives.
