Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Purnima Lamba has been appointed as Chief Brand Officer at Mahindra Group, effective September 2026. Her appointment marks a significant leadership move as the Group continues to strengthen its brand presence, innovation-led storytelling, and global growth agenda.
Purnima brings more than two decades of experience in brand building, consumer insight, innovation, digital engagement, and global portfolio leadership. Her expertise in building tech-enabled beauty experiences and pioneering digital media models has been instrumental in strengthening brand presence and expanding global footprint.
Prior to joining Mahindra Group, Purnima spent over 24 years with Unilever, where she held several global and regional brand leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Global Brand Vice President – Knorr in Rotterdam. She also led Vaseline, TRESemmé, and Sunsilk at the global level.
Earlier at Unilever, she played a key role in leading the transformation of Fair & Lovely to Glow & Lovely and also served as Head – Innovation, Lakmé, where she helped reinvent cosmetics and skincare strategy. Her earlier Unilever roles included regional portfolio management for skincare across South Asia and brand leadership for Lakmé, Lux, and Dove.
Before her long tenure at Unilever, Purnima served as CEO of Soulkurry.com, one of India’s early web portals focused on connecting women to their goals.
