Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — Rudra Prasad Nayak has joined Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd (LMEL) as Head of Talent Management, where he will lead the company’s talent strategy across Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd and Lloyds Infrastructure & Construction Limited (LICL). In his new role, he will oversee talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee lifecycle management, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, employee engagement, HR digitalization, and retention management to support the organization’s rapid domestic and global expansion.
Prior to taking up this assignment, Nayak has been serving as India People Head at Calderys, leading the people function across five manufacturing plants, three sales offices, a greenfield project, and the corporate headquarters. He has been responsible for driving enterprise-wide HR strategy encompassing workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, employee engagement, rewards and recognition, industrial relations, HR digitalization, statutory compliance, and HR integration for new manufacturing facilities.
Earlier, he served as Regional Head – HR at Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd, where he managed HR operations across multiple iron ore mining units and cluster offices. During his tenure, he led organization restructuring initiatives, implemented balanced scorecard-based performance management systems, rolled out enterprise HRMS, strengthened employee engagement and capability development programmes, and managed employee relations, contract labour administration, statutory compliance, CSR initiatives, and industrial security.
Before joining Odisha Mining Corporation, Nayak was Head – HRM at Thriveni Sainik Mining Private Limited, where he established talent management practices for large-scale mining operations. His responsibilities included recruitment, HR automation through SAP SuccessFactors, performance management, compensation structuring, capability development, and employee lifecycle management.
Previously, he worked with Larsen & Toubro Power as Section Head – HR & IR, managing employee and industrial relations for a major power plant project employing more than 5,500 contract workers. His role included handling statutory compliance, labour relations, welfare administration, union negotiations, government liaison, and industrial harmony across project operations.
Earlier in his career, Nayak spent over eight years with the CK Birla Group as Lead – HR & IR, where he managed end-to-end plant HR operations for a workforce exceeding 4,000 employees. He successfully led campus recruitment, talent acquisition, HR digitalization, succession planning, competency-based performance management, learning and development, employee engagement, wage negotiations, productivity-linked incentive schemes, industrial relations, and statutory compliance.
With nearly two decades of leadership experience across mining, metals, manufacturing, refractories, infrastructure, and power sectors, Rudra Prasad Nayak brings deep expertise in talent management, organizational development, industrial relations, HR transformation, workforce planning, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, HR technology, and business-aligned people strategy.
