Singapore, May 2024 – OCS is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryme Dembri as Chief Human Resources Officer, Asia Pacific and Middle East, effective 15th May 2024.
In the new role, Ryme will be responsible for shaping the organisation’s strategic direction from a human resources standpoint. Her key responsibilities include talent management, workforce planning and fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture across the business in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

In her role she will provide input and guidance on all people-related needs, ensuring effective management throughout the HR delivery model. She will also contribute to our M&A agenda. Within the regional leadership team, Ryme’s focus will be to drive revenue growth and profitability through human capabilities.
Prior to OCS, Ryme served as an Associate Director at BPG x X-PM, where she contributed to delivering global transformation projects. Additionally, she has been a Non-Executive Board Member at Babes Pregnancy Crisis Support Ltd since December 2023, actively participating in the HR and Fundraising committees.
Ryme founded ValuAscend Pte Ltd in October 2023, providing consulting services in human capital management and executive development. Before this, she was the Head of Leadership, Talent & Culture at ASM from May 2022 to September 2023, enabling the company’s hyper-growth trajectory through leadership development, learning, and talent management interventions.
From May 2020 to April 2022, Ryme was the Global Head of Talent and Organizational Performance at Dole Sunshine Company, where she evolved the company culture for a global workforce of approximately 30,000 employees. Prior to that, she served as the Head of HR EMEA (Europe, Middle East Africa), Vice-President at Whirlpool Corporation from January 2018 to August 2019, supporting a USD 4 billion business with 20,000 employees.
Ryme has also held significant roles at Philips Lighting, where she was the VP – Head of HR for Lighting Growth Markets and Lighting Europe, and at Philips, where she managed engagement and performance management tools as the Senior Director of Organisational Effectiveness and HR Strategy. Her earlier experience includes roles at Demos Group, PwC, and Softmatic AG.
Ryme holds a master’s degree in Organisation & Human Resources from the University of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne and a master’s degree in European Business Management from the University of Hamburg. With over 25 years of experience in business transformation and talent strategies, she has lived and worked in seven countries across Europe and Asia.
