Yokohama, Japan, June 2026 — Sevdiye Baran Demirci has started her new position as Human Resources Director at Nissan Motor Corporation.
Demirci has been associated with Nissan Motor Corporation for nearly five years and most recently served as Human Resources Manager, a role she held from October 2021 to June 2026. During her tenure, she contributed significantly to human resources operations, talent management, and people strategy initiatives within the organisation.
Before joining Nissan, Demirci worked with Sabancı Üniversitesi, where she held dual responsibilities as Gender Equality Officer and Human Resources Business Partner. In these roles, she focused on employee relations, project management, and HR partnership initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she served as Human Resources Business Consultant at Vodafone, gaining valuable experience in HR advisory and organisational support functions. She also worked with Sony as a Compensation & Benefits Senior Specialist, where she managed compensation and employee benefits-related responsibilities.
Her professional journey additionally includes roles at Procter & Gamble, where she worked as ES & Benefits Specialist – IBM Account, and at IBM in Financial Reporting.
With extensive experience across human resources, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and organisational development, Demirci is expected to play an important role in strengthening Nissan’s people and culture initiatives in her new leadership position.
