Shweta Singh Promoted to Associate Vice President – Regulatory & Public Policy at airtel

Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 — airtel has promoted Shweta Singh to Associate Vice President – Regulatory & Public Policy. In her expanded leadership role, she will continue to drive the company’s regulatory and public policy agenda, working closely with government authorities, regulators and industry stakeholders while supporting Airtel’s strategic initiatives in India’s rapidly evolving telecommunications sector.

Shweta’s promotion marks another significant milestone in her nearly six-year journey with airtel, where she has consistently progressed through increasingly responsible leadership roles in regulatory affairs and public policy. Prior to her elevation, she served as General Manager – Regulatory & Public Policy for around two years, leading regulatory strategy and public policy initiatives. Earlier, she held the positions of Senior Manager – Regulatory Affairs & Public Policy for approximately two years and Manager – Regulatory & Public Policy for nearly two years, steadily building deep expertise in telecom regulation, policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement.

Before joining Airtel, Shweta spent more than three years as Associate – Legal at Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), where she gained valuable experience in telecommunications regulation, legal research and policy matters, providing her with a strong regulatory foundation that continues to support her leadership in the telecom sector.

Earlier in her career, Shweta completed legal internships with Star TV Network, Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan, Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Securities and Exchange Board of India and Trilegal, gaining broad exposure to media law, competition law, intellectual property, securities regulation and corporate law.
