Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, April 2025 – Sonica Muraleedharan has joined LTIMindtree as Principal Director – HR Business Partner, bringing with her over two decades of rich and diverse experience across human resources, organizational transformation, talent strategy, and people development. In her new role, Sonica will partner with business leaders to drive HR transformation, talent engagement, and performance strategies aligned with LTIMindtree’s global growth trajectory.
Before joining LTIMindtree, Sonica Muraleedharan served as Head HR – Domestic Operations (PT&D IC) at Larsen & Toubro for four years, where she spearheaded pivotal restructuring, strengthened HR fundamentals, and championed Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiatives. Her tenure was marked by impactful leadership in performance optimization, talent retention, and change management.
Previously, she worked at Sterlite Copper (a unit of Vedanta Ltd) for nearly 12 years, ultimately rising to the position of Chief People Officer. There, she led comprehensive organizational restructuring, introduced millennial-focused engagement strategies, and implemented best practices in HR operations and talent development. She was a key voice in women’s leadership within the Vedanta Group and served as a member of its Business Executive Committee.
Sonica began her career as a Captain in the Indian Army, serving for over five years. Her foundation in leadership, discipline, and strategic operations in the Armed Forces has informed her corporate HR success, especially in leading people through change and high-stakes environments.
