Springer brings deep experience in digital strategy, innovation, and enterprise technology transformation to support SSOE’s continued growth and strategic priorities.
Toledo, Ohio, United States, June 2026 — SSOE Group, an internationally ranked architecture and engineering firm, with a legacy spanning nearly 8 decades, today announced that Andrea Springer has joined the firm as Chief Technology Officer. Based in Denver, Springer will lead the continued evolution of SSOE’s technology strategy in support of the firm’s strategic focus on digital transformation.
Springer brings extensive experience leading enterprise digital strategy, innovation, and technology transformation in the AEC industry. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Director of Digital Engineering Solutions at CDM Smith, where she was responsible for the firm’s digital evolution and enterprise AEC strategy across business units and regions. Prior to that, she held the role of Vice President, Director of Digital Technology and Innovation at Stantec. In both roles, she led global teams spanning business, practice, and IT resources to advance digital delivery with a focus on technology, process, data, and people.
In her new role, Springer will bring together enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, data, and innovation to further align SSOE’s technology initiatives with the firm’s strategic direction. Her background includes leadership in applied and emerging technologies, digital product strategy, software development, data analytics and AI/ML, automation, design, geospatial, and visualization technology, project information management systems, and cross-functional collaboration across business and technology teams within matrixed organizations.

In addition to her executive leadership experience, Springer has worked across architecture, technology, and innovation-focused roles throughout her career. She is a registered architect and has served in leadership positions that combined business strategy, technology advancement, and client-focused delivery. She holds a Master of Science in Digital Technologies from the University of Michigan, a Master of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Miami University.
