SAN FRANCISCO AND DUBLIN, June 2026 — Stripe has appointed Eileen O’Mara as Vice Chair, a newly expanded leadership role that will see her engage with policymakers, government officials, customers, and strategic partners as the company navigates a rapidly evolving global economic and regulatory landscape.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for the internet economy, where policy, regulation, and business decisions are increasingly shaping the environment in which millions of digital businesses operate. As Vice Chair, O’Mara will work closely with stakeholders worldwide to help foster conditions that support entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth.
O’Mara brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the technology sector. Since joining Stripe in 2019, she has played a central role in building the company’s global revenue organization and most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer. During her tenure, Stripe’s annual payment volume nearly doubled to approximately $1.9 trillion while supporting organizations ranging from high-growth startups to some of the world’s largest enterprises.
Before becoming CRO, she held leadership positions including Head of Global Sales and Revenue & Growth Lead for EMEA. Prior to Stripe, she spent nearly eight years at Salesforce, serving in senior leadership roles including SVP International Marketing, SVP Sales APAC, and SVP Sales EMEA. Earlier, she held technology sales leadership roles at Oracle, building extensive expertise across global markets and enterprise growth.
Announcing the appointment, Stripe Co-founder and CEO Patrick Collison highlighted O’Mara’s unique understanding of customer needs and economic growth.
“Eileen knows our customers and what’s at stake for them better than almost anyone. Tooling and infrastructure are necessary conditions for economic growth, but progress is also contingent on policy, culture, and partnerships. Eileen’s leadership will help advance this conviction on behalf of Stripe and our customers,” said Patrick Collison.
Industry leaders also welcomed the appointment.
“Eileen deeply appreciates what it takes to empower local commerce and has been a hands-on partner to DoorDash in helping advance that mission over the last several years. Her operational know-how and empathy for end customers will make her an invaluable advocate for entrepreneurs and innovators as she takes on this new role,” said Ravi Inukonda, Chief Financial Officer at DoorDash.
“We’ve worked closely with Eileen and her team as we’ve grown our partnership with Stripe, enabling merchants big and small across the US, UK, and Canada. She’s an outstanding partner, with a relentless focus on driving results for merchants and their customers. We are delighted to continue working with her in her new role,” said Wayne Pommen, Chief Revenue Officer at Affirm.
“Stripe has been a great partner to ElevenLabs as we’ve scaled to serve millions of businesses, developers, and consumers around the world in just three years. We’re delighted that Eileen will help to advance the conditions that make it easier to build new technologies and companies,” said Maciej Mylik, Finance Lead at ElevenLabs.
“Lovable went from launch to a global business almost overnight, and we needed partners who understood the complexity we would encounter. Eileen has been one of those partners for us, and her new role will allow her to share that expertise even more broadly,” said Elena Verna, Head of Growth at Lovable.
With her extensive experience in revenue leadership, customer engagement, global sales, and enterprise growth, O’Mara is expected to play a critical role in strengthening Stripe’s relationships with policymakers, customers, and business leaders worldwide while supporting the company’s mission to increase the GDP of the internet.
