Hyderabad, Telangana, India, January 2026 — DAZN India has appointed Venkat Chekuri as Head of People/HR, marking a key leadership move as the organisation enters its next phase of growth in India. In his new role, Venkat will focus on strengthening people practices, partnering closely with business leaders, and enabling a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned with DAZN’s ambitious growth agenda.
Venkat brings nearly two decades of progressive HR leadership experience across media, gaming, technology, and manufacturing sectors. Most recently, he spent over eight years with Entain India, where he served as Lead HR Business Partner and earlier as Senior HR Business Partner. During this period, he played a critical role in driving organisational effectiveness, cultural transformation, employer branding, and people strategy across a fast-scaling, globally connected business. His work spanned strategic workforce planning, compensation planning, compliance, organisational design, and the application of AI-driven people practices.
Prior to Entain, Venkat was Senior Manager – HR at InnoPark (India) Pvt. Ltd for over five years, where he headed the People/HR function end-to-end. He led large-scale HR process transformation, change management initiatives, and the build-out of strong, result-oriented HR teams. Earlier in his career, he held HR leadership roles at Luminous Power Technologies and Spandana Sphoorty Financial Limited, gaining deep exposure to HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance in complex, multi-location environments. He began his HR career as an HR Generalist at Papyrus Software, managing end-to-end HR operations in coordination with global teams.
Venkat holds an MBA in Human Resources from ICFAI University, providing a strong academic foundation to complement his extensive practitioner experience.
