London, England, United Kingdom, May 2026 — Yenniesha Ernandez-Barnes has joined Lloyds Banking Group as Head of People, Business & Commercial Banking, where she will lead the people agenda for the division with a focus on accelerating business outcomes through strategic workforce planning, leadership development, talent management, organizational design, and change leadership.
In her new role, Yenniesha will partner with business leaders to build inclusive, high-performing teams that deliver value for customers, colleagues, and shareholders while supporting Lloyds Banking Group’s long-term growth and transformation objectives.
Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, Yenniesha spent more than eleven years with HSBC, progressing through a series of increasingly senior human resources leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Head of HR Business Partnering, where she led strategic people initiatives and partnered with senior business leaders on workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and leadership capability building.
Earlier at HSBC, she held the positions of Global Human Resources Business Partner, HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, and participated in the organization’s Graduate Development Programme. During her tenure, she gained extensive experience across talent strategy, employee engagement, leadership development, organizational transformation, and people advisory services in a global banking environment.
Before HSBC, Yenniesha spent nearly nine years with the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she held several roles across talent, HR policy, workforce planning, and business operations. As Entry Level Programme Manager, she led apprenticeship, internship, and graduate programmes while partnering with senior stakeholders to develop future talent pipelines and strengthen leadership capability.
She also completed a secondment as HR Policy Consultant, where she managed employment policies, employee wellbeing initiatives, and regulatory compliance programs. Earlier roles within Business & Commercial Banking and Coutts Banking Operations enabled her to build deep expertise in workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee development, operational effectiveness, and stakeholder management.
Throughout her career, Yenniesha has developed a strong reputation for aligning people strategies with business priorities, building leadership capability, driving organizational change, and fostering inclusive workplace cultures that support sustainable business growth.
