MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, July 20, 2026 — ZET has promoted Rajkumar Desai to Director – Business Partnerships, recognizing his significant contributions in building strategic alliances, expanding financial ecosystems, and driving growth across the company’s credit and payments portfolio.
In his new role, Desai will continue to lead ZET’s partnership strategy, strengthen relationships with banking and fintech partners, expand distribution capabilities, and drive new growth opportunities that advance the company’s mission of making financial services more accessible across Bharat.
Desai has been associated with ZET for more than four years and has played a pivotal role in developing and scaling some of the company’s most important business partnerships. Most recently, as Director – Business Partnerships, he has led strategic banking alliances, commercial negotiations, and ecosystem partnerships that have strengthened ZET’s position in the financial services landscape. His responsibilities have included overseeing major collaborations with banking institutions, credit bureaus, and payments ecosystem stakeholders while managing key portfolio growth initiatives and profitability metrics.
Prior to this promotion, he served as Founder of Surplus, a spend optimization platform focused on helping consumers maximize savings through targeted brand partnerships and personalized spending insights. Through this entrepreneurial venture, he gained valuable experience in product strategy, customer acquisition, partnership development, and business growth.
Earlier, Desai held multiple leadership positions at ZET, including Generalist and Manager – Strategic Alliance and Brand Partnerships. During this period, he helped scale the company’s lending and financial products ecosystem, built strategic relationships with fintech partners, and contributed significantly to revenue growth through innovative distribution models and partnership-led business development initiatives.
Before joining ZET, he spent over three years with Dineout, where he served as Lead – Strategic National Account. In that role, he led key account management initiatives, developed strategic client relationships across the food and beverage sector, and drove revenue growth through technology-led customer engagement and marketing solutions.
A postgraduate in Marketing from Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Desai combines strong commercial acumen with expertise in strategic partnerships, business development, financial products, ecosystem building, and growth strategy.
His promotion comes at a significant stage in ZET’s journey as the company continues expanding financial access for underserved consumers across India. With his deep understanding of partnerships and fintech ecosystems, Desai is expected to play a key role in accelerating the company’s growth, strengthening institutional collaborations, and expanding innovative financial solutions across emerging markets.
