Kotak Mahindra Bank Promotes Shashank Advait to Senior Vice President

MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, July 20, 2026 — Kotak Mahindra Bank has promoted Shashank Advait to the position of Senior Vice President, recognizing his significant contributions to digital banking growth, analytics-driven customer engagement, campaign management, and portfolio expansion across the bank’s retail and wealth banking businesses.

In his elevated role, Advait will continue to drive strategic initiatives across digital banking, customer analytics, campaign optimization, and product growth, helping strengthen Kotak Mahindra Bank’s customer-centric approach while accelerating digital adoption and revenue growth across key business segments.

Advait has been associated with Kotak Mahindra Bank for over four years and has played an instrumental role in leveraging analytics and data-driven strategies to enhance customer engagement and business performance. Most recently, he served as Vice President – Digital Banking & Campaign Analytics, Solitaire, Life Insurance & General Insurance, where he led digital growth initiatives for third-party products and premium customer segments, helping drive customer acquisition, engagement, and portfolio growth through advanced analytics and targeted campaigns.

Prior to this role, he served as Vice President & Head – Analytics Campaigns for TPP, Privy, NRI, Forex & Business Banking Assets Products, where he was responsible for designing and executing analytics-led campaign strategies across multiple banking portfolios. During this period, he strengthened customer lifecycle management initiatives, improved cross-selling effectiveness, and enhanced portfolio performance through data-driven marketing interventions.

Before joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, Advait spent nearly nine years with Axis Bank, where he held several leadership positions across analytics, campaign management, and retail banking marketing. As Deputy Vice President and Head – Liabilities Analytics Campaigns, he led portfolio analytics and customer engagement strategies for key retail banking segments, contributing to customer acquisition, retention, and product penetration initiatives.

Earlier in his career, he spent more than six years with HDFC Bank, where he managed high-net-worth customer portfolios, led event-based marketing campaigns, and developed customer engagement programs for premium banking segments including Imperia and Preferred Banking. His experience across relationship management, analytics, and marketing laid the foundation for his expertise in customer lifecycle management and digital banking growth.

A management graduate from FORE School of Management, New Delhi, with a specialization in Marketing and Finance, Advait brings nearly two decades of experience spanning retail banking, digital banking, customer analytics, campaign management, portfolio strategy, and customer engagement.

His promotion reflects Kotak Mahindra Bank’s confidence in his leadership capabilities and his ability to drive business growth through innovation, analytics, and customer-focused digital strategies. In his new role as Senior Vice President, he is expected to further strengthen the bank’s digital banking ecosystem and enhance customer value through data-led decision-making and strategic growth initiatives.
