Atlanta, Georgia, United States, April 2026 — Unifi has announced the appointment of Dipankar Bandyopadhyay as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, he will lead the company’s global people and culture strategy, supporting Unifi’s continued growth, operational excellence, and frontline workforce effectiveness across multiple international markets.
With a distinguished career spanning global organizations and transformational HR leadership, Dipankar brings deep expertise in scaling organizations, driving digital transformation, and aligning talent strategy with business outcomes. His appointment underscores Unifi’s commitment to strengthening its workforce of over 40,000 employees across the United States, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
In his current role as Chief Human Resources Officer at Unifi, Dipankar is a member of the executive leadership team, overseeing all aspects of global HR including talent acquisition, workforce planning, total rewards, talent management, HR technology, and analytics. He partners closely with business leaders to enhance safety, performance, and the frontline employee experience in a high-intensity aviation services environment.
Prior to joining Unifi, he led an independent advisory practice as a C-Suite and Board Advisor, guiding CEOs, boards, and investors on people strategy, organizational transformation, and leadership development. During this phase, he played a key role in shaping operating models, enabling digital transformation, and advising AI-enabled and WorkTech platforms on growth and capability building.
Earlier, Dipankar served as CHRO – Health Solutions, Carelon Global Solutions & Digital Platforms at Elevance Health, where he led global HR for over 43,000 employees across five countries. He was instrumental in scaling international operations, driving M&A integration, and building talent capabilities in areas such as AI, data science, and automation, supporting the organization’s digital transformation agenda.
He spent over 17 years at Monsanto Company, where he held several senior leadership roles including Vice President HR – Global R&D and VP – Global HR Technology, Analytics & Shared Services. During his tenure, he led HR for a global R&D organization spanning 5,000+ employees across 60+ countries and played a key role in the cultural and organizational integration during the Bayer–Monsanto merger.
Dipankar began his career at Asian Paints, where he developed strong foundational expertise in HR business partnering, manufacturing HR, and workforce development, contributing to business growth and operational excellence early in his journey.
Dipankar holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), one of India’s premier institutions for HR and social sciences education.
