Mumbai, 11th May, 2026: BOBCARD LIMITED, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Baroda, today announced the appointment of Mr. Saravanakumar A as its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, he will lead BOBCARD’s overall business strategy and growth roadmap, with a focus on strengthening the company’s market position.
Mr. Saravanakumar A brings over three decades of rich and diverse experience in the banking sector, having joined Bank of Baroda in 1994. Over the years, he has held several key leadership roles across domestic and international operations, contributing significantly to business growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation. At BOBCARD, he will focus on driving business growth, strengthening the company’s risk management framework, enhancing customer experience, and curating an innovative product portfolio that meets the evolving needs of the Indian consumer base, aligned with BOBCARD’s vision “Reimagining credit for India.”
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Saravanakumar A has excelled in retail banking, rural & agri-finance, treasury, credit, and operations. He also brings strong global exposure, having played a pivotal role in enhancing profitability and business performance.

Mr. Saravanakumar A holds a postgraduate degree in Finance (Master’s in Management Studies) and professional certifications including CAIIB and JAIIB. His leadership has been recognized through multiple awards, including a prestigious honour presented by Shri. M. K. Stalin, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, for his notable contribution to driving significant growth in MSME lending.
