Goa, India, June 2026 — GMR Group has appointed Neeraj Puri as Head Retail – Airport Land Development (ALD) and Head – ALD, Goa.
In his new role, Puri will be responsible for driving retail advisory-led leasing initiatives across GMR’s Airport Land Development assets while also leading the Goa Airport Land Development (Mopa) project. His mandate includes strengthening retail ecosystem development, enhancing commercial value creation, and supporting the growth of integrated airport-linked real estate developments.
Puri brings more than a decade of experience in retail leasing, retail advisory, commercial real estate, business development, and expansion strategy.
Prior to joining GMR Group, he spent over eight years with Cushman & Wakefield India, where he served as Senior Director – Retail (North & East). During his tenure, he advised retailers on market expansion strategies, business growth initiatives, location planning, and retail leasing transactions across key markets.
Earlier, he held the position of General Manager at CBRE, where he focused on retail leasing and commercial transactions across northern India. He worked closely with retailers and brands on market entry strategies, store roll-out plans, location sourcing, and transaction execution.
Before that, Puri served as Senior Manager at Knight Frank India, supporting retailers and brands with expansion planning, retail consulting, leasing mandates, and high-street retail opportunities across the region.
Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise across retail leasing, commercial real estate advisory, business development, retail expansion strategy, location planning, asset monetization, tenant engagement, and retail-led destination development.
