Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Anand Kumar has started a new position as Head of Human Resources at Hoora, where he will lead the overall human resources strategy and align it with the organization’s business objectives.
In this role, he will drive talent management, talent acquisition, organizational development, culture building, and HR operations to support sustainable growth and high performance at the fast-growing vehicle care platform.
Before taking on this role at Hoora, Anand Kumar spent around three years with ShopSe as Associate Director HR, where he led the HR function for ShopSe Digital Finance. During his tenure, he focused on building the right team through effective recruitment strategies, shaping culture and employee experience, and managing key areas such as performance management, labour compliance, compensation, and benefits. His experience there reflects a strong capability to support scale in emerging, high-growth business environments.
Earlier, he served as Head of Human Resources at Chqbook for close to a year, where he led HR with a focus on policy design, HR automation and digitization, and rewards and recognition. He also played an important role in hiring teams across technology, product, credit, operations, and sales, while ensuring labour compliance and implementing a holistic compensation and benefits program. This stint further strengthened his profile as an HR leader capable of building people systems for growth-stage organizations.
Prior to that, Anand Kumar was associated with The Souled Store Pvt. Ltd. as Head HR & IR, where he managed the HR and industrial relations portfolio across the employee lifecycle. He also co-founded Bluetech Agro Pvt Ltd, adding an entrepreneurial dimension to his career journey. These experiences added breadth to his leadership exposure by combining structured HR management with business-building insight.
In the earlier phase of his career, Anand Kumar built a diverse foundation across well-known organizations. At PharmEasy, where he worked for over three years as Manager-HR and later Sr. Manager HR, he managed the Pan-India HR portfolio and led the HR team in building the company’s people capabilities as it strengthened its leadership position in the healthcare space. Before that, he worked with Amazon as HR Specialist/HRBP, with ITC Limited in HR generalist responsibilities covering onboarding, orientation, training and development, separation, and benefits administration, with JRG Fincorp Pvt. Ltd as Assistant Manager HR, and with Deloitte as Associate Analyst USHR, where he was part of sourcing and recruitment and also contributed to women empowerment and work-life-balance initiatives through the WIN council.
