Angie Chaves Pino Promoted to Director, Human Resources at Marigold

Heredia, Costa Rica, July 2025 – Angie Chaves Pino has been elevated to the role of Director, Human Resources at Marigold, marking a significant milestone in her HR leadership journey within the company. In this new position, she will lead strategic people initiatives across the organization, driving operational excellence, global HR service delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Over the past three years at Marigold, Angie served as Senior Manager, Human Resources, where she led the HR Solutions team globally and acted as HR Leader for the LatAm region. She was instrumental in streamlining HR support via the Zendesk platform, enhancing employee experience through automation and analytics, and ensuring organizational compliance across diverse jurisdictions. Her efforts in aligning HR strategies with global business objectives have played a pivotal role in Marigold’s people-first transformation.

Prior to joining Marigold, Angie spent five years at Cheetah Digital, holding roles such as Associate HR Manager, Global Human Resources Business Partner, and Global Recruiter. During her time there, she managed HR operations across the Americas, led talent reviews and succession planning activities, and coached leadership teams in both Costa Rica and the United States.

Angie’s earlier experience includes a series of progressively responsible roles at Experian, including Manager, Campaign Services and Senior Deployment Specialist, where she led operational teams, handled HR compliance, and trained global teams on advanced platform features while enhancing client engagement and executional excellence.

With over a decade of diverse experience across HR, operations, and client services, Angie brings a holistic, people-centric, and technology-enabled approach to HR leadership at Marigold.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
