Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, April 2025 – Ben Schwering has been promoted to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Premier Inc., a leading healthcare improvement company serving thousands of hospitals and healthcare providers across the U.S. In his new role, Ben will oversee the company’s enterprise-wide technology strategy, IT operations, cybersecurity initiatives, and the execution of Premier’s ongoing digital transformation agenda.
Ben has been with Premier for nearly nine years, steadily rising through key leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and VP of Enterprise IT, where he played a crucial role in building a secure, compliant, and agile multi-cloud IT environment across AWS, Azure, and GCP. His strategic leadership has been instrumental in driving improvements in incident response, infrastructure operations, and risk management across the enterprise.
Prior to joining Premier, Ben spent close to six years at Nationwide Insurance as Director of IT Engineering, where he led analytics and business intelligence infrastructure services. Before that, he held leadership roles at Chase, where he oversaw global systems engineering and M&A technology integrations.
