Muthukumaran joins Essar at a pivotal stage in the Group’s growth journey as it accelerates investments in future fuels, green mobility, integrated logistics, and digital infrastructure across global markets. His extensive experience in leading financial transformation and driving strategic initiatives will play an important role in strengthening Essar’s financial framework and supporting its long-term growth ambitions.
Over a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years, Muthukumaran has built deep expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, business transformation, and governance. He has successfully led complex transactions, fundraising initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic business programs across diverse industries, earning recognition as a highly accomplished finance and business leader.
As Group Chief Financial Officer, Muthukumaran will oversee Essar’s global finance strategy, capital allocation, financial governance, and value creation initiatives. He will work closely with the leadership team to drive sustainable growth, strengthen financial performance, and support the Group’s next phase of transformation and expansion.
