Dr. Christian Niebling Appointed as Global Head of HR, Fresenius Health Services & Corporate Head of Labor Relations, Fresenius Group

Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe, Germany, January 2026 — Fresenius Group, a global healthcare leader committed to life-saving and life-enhancing therapies, has appointed Dr. Christian Niebling in a dual strategic leadership role as Global Head of HR, Fresenius Health Services, and Corporate Head of Labor Relations, Fresenius Group.

In this pivotal enterprise-wide mandate, Dr. Niebling will spearhead global HR strategy, workforce transformation, industrial relations and labour governance across Fresenius Health Services and the wider Fresenius Group, strengthening organisational resilience, transformation readiness and people-centric growth worldwide.

Dr. Niebling brings over two decades of distinguished leadership in human resources, labour relations and industrial governance across Europe’s largest industrial and healthcare enterprises.

Prior to joining Fresenius, he spent nearly a decade with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, most recently as Director Labor Relations EMEA, where he led workforce transformation, collective bargaining strategies and industrial governance across 22,000+ employees, 17 manufacturing sites in 11 countries and EUR 5.6 billion in net sales. He earlier served as Managing Director HR / Labour Director for DACH and HR Director Support Functions EMEA, pioneering multi-million-euro transformation, automation investments and complex collective bargaining frameworks.

Earlier, Dr. Niebling served as Executive Board Member at the Employers’ Association of the German Rubber Industry (ADK), representing over 200 companies and 30,000 employees, shaping national labour policy frameworks.

His prior leadership includes senior HR and labour governance roles at thyssenkrupp, where he led HR operations for 8,500+ employees across 180+ locations, and AUDI AG, where he served as Legal Counsel for the Joint Works Council and HR/Labour Relations leader — shaping compliance, collective bargaining, works council governance and global HR policy architecture.
