Pakistan, November 2024 – Dr. Mohammad Saad Usmani has been appointed as the Chief Human Resource Officer at Changan Pakistan, bringing a wealth of experience in human resource strategy and organizational development across multiple industries. In his new role, Dr. Usmani will spearhead HR initiatives, including talent management, employee engagement, leadership development, and performance management, to drive Changan Pakistan’s growth and innovation in the automotive sector.
Dr. Usmani joins Changan Pakistan following a successful tenure as the Divisional Head of Learning & Talent Management at United Bank Limited (UBL). Over nearly six years, he led the talent and learning functions for a workforce of over 15,000 employees, aligning HR strategies with corporate goals and fostering organizational effectiveness.

Previously, he served as the Head of Organization Development at SUI Southern Gas Company, where he drove competency framework development, leadership programs, and performance management systems for an organization of over 12,000 employees.
As the Managing Partner at Absolute Management Consultants, Dr. Usmani provided consultancy in HR strategy, talent development, and organizational restructuring, showcasing his expertise in aligning business objectives with people management practices.
Dr. Usmani also held the role of Head of Talent Development at NIB Bank, where he led nationwide learning and development initiatives, and Head of HR and Services at Hutchison Ports, focusing on strategic HR alignment and employee engagement.
