Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2026 — Ericsson has promoted Saket Kumar to Director, Global Head of Service Delivery – BSS (Monetization & Core Commerce), expanding his leadership mandate across the company’s global services organization for its Monetization & Core Commerce portfolio.
Kumar brings more than 17 years of experience across telecommunications, technology, R&D, product strategy and global service delivery, including over 14 years with Ericsson. In his new role, he assumes end-to-end responsibility for strategy, service delivery, capability development and business growth across Systems Integration (SI), Application Development & Maintenance (ADM), and Managed Services (MS).
A key focus of his expanded mandate will be transforming BSS service delivery through AI-native engineering, intelligent automation, industrialization and modern DevSecOps practices. He will also drive scalable global delivery capabilities and adoption of Generative AI, agentic solutions, cloud-native technologies and automation across the software delivery lifecycle. His responsibilities include working with global sales, product engineering, portfolio teams and market areas to strengthen customer outcomes and support profitable growth.
Kumar most recently served as Director – OSS/BSS Offshore Service Delivery from March 2023 to July 2026. Earlier at Ericsson, he held leadership positions including Head, SDU Communication Services and Head of Service Delivery, IMS India. In these assignments, he led large delivery organizations and supported communications services including VoLTE and VoWiFi. His Ericsson journey also includes roles as Strategic Product Manager, Team Lead – PoC and Prototyping, Systems Manager in R&D, and Global Graduate Engineer.
Before joining Ericsson, Kumar worked with Nokia Siemens Networks as a Core Engineer and began his professional career with Tata Consultancy Services as an Assistant Systems Engineer. He also completed a research internship at the University of Edinburgh, working on visible light communication. Kumar holds an MSc in Signal Processing and Communications from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA (Global) from Deakin University.
