Lagos, Nigeria, June 2026 – Kavinkumar Murukanathan has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Tolaram, marking a significant milestone in his nearly 15-year journey with the global enterprise. In his new role, he will lead the Group’s enterprise technology strategy, overseeing digital transformation, enterprise architecture, ERP modernization, cybersecurity, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and emerging technology initiatives across Tolaram’s global operations.
As CTO, Kavinkumar will work closely with business leaders across the organization to strengthen operational excellence, enhance decision-making capabilities, build future-ready digital ecosystems, and drive sustainable growth through technology-led innovation. His mandate extends beyond technology delivery, focusing on aligning people, processes, and platforms to create long-term enterprise value.
Kavinkumar has built an exceptional career at Tolaram, demonstrating a rare combination of operational leadership, manufacturing excellence, business transformation expertise, and technology vision. Most recently, he served as Head – IT & Digital Transformation, where he spearheaded enterprise-wide digital initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, innovation, and business agility across the Group’s operations.
Before moving into technology leadership, he successfully led several business and manufacturing functions within Tolaram. As Head of Manufacturing – Noodles & Seasoning, he oversaw one of the company’s largest manufacturing operations while simultaneously driving operational excellence and digitalization programs. Earlier, as General Manager – Flexible Packaging, he led the packaging business of Dufil Group and focused on profitability enhancement, process optimization, and operational growth.
His leadership journey also includes roles as Factory Manager, Head – Six Sigma (Operational Excellence), Operations Manager, and Six Sigma Black Belt, where he established a strong track record in process improvement, manufacturing transformation, operational efficiency, and leadership development. Throughout these assignments, he successfully led large-scale automation projects, manufacturing modernization initiatives, warehouse management systems implementation, alternative energy projects, and numerous Six Sigma transformation programs that delivered measurable business impact.
Over the years, Kavinkumar has become widely recognized for his ability to bridge business operations and technology, enabling organizations to leverage digital capabilities while maintaining strong operational performance. His promotion reflects Tolaram’s confidence in his leadership and its commitment to accelerating technology-driven transformation across the enterprise.
