The promotion reflects Levi Strauss & Co.’s continued investment in strengthening its Global Capability Center (GCC) strategy and expanding India’s role as a critical hub for innovation, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, enterprise planning, and business transformation.

In his new role, Vijay will lead the Levi’s Global Talent Hub in India, overseeing capability development, talent growth, innovation initiatives, and strategic business support functions serving the company’s global operations. He will be responsible for accelerating the organization’s AI-driven transformation agenda while strengthening the GCC’s contribution to enterprise-wide growth, operational excellence, and innovation.

Vijay has been associated with Levi Strauss & Co. for nearly five years and has consistently expanded his leadership responsibilities across planning, analytics, artificial intelligence, and organizational capability development. Prior to this elevation, he served as Vice President – MPIM (South Asia, Middle East & Africa and Global Talent Hub), where he led strategic planning and capability-building initiatives across multiple geographies while supporting the growth of the company’s global talent ecosystem.

Earlier, he served as Senior Director & Head, Planning and Analytics (South Asia, Middle East & Africa), driving analytics-led business transformation, operational excellence, and planning effectiveness across key growth markets. Before that, he was Senior Director & Regional Head – Data, Analytics and AI (APAC & MEA), leading teams responsible for advanced analytics solutions focused on demand forecasting, assortment optimization, pricing effectiveness, promotion analytics, and customer personalization.

Prior to joining Levi Strauss & Co., Vijay served as Senior Director, Data Science & Engineering at Lowe’s India, where he globally led data science and engineering teams responsible for developing analytics products across pricing, promotions, competitive intelligence, and finance functions. His leadership helped strengthen Lowe’s data-driven decision-making culture and build high-performing analytics capabilities.

Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Tesco Bengaluru, including Head, Analytics and Reporting Centre of Excellence and Head, Online Operations & Analytics, leading large-scale analytics teams supporting customer insights, digital operations, commercial analytics, fraud prevention, and business intelligence functions serving both UK and European markets.

His professional journey also includes assignments with Tesco.com, American Express, and Global Analytics, where he built expertise in customer analytics, operational excellence, process transformation, and strategic decision-making.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Vijay has actively contributed to the development of future technology leaders as a Visiting Faculty in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at leading institutions including the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, IIIT Delhi, and the Goa Institute of Management.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Vijay brings deep expertise in artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, enterprise planning, digital transformation, capability building, and business leadership. His elevation underscores Levi Strauss & Co.’s confidence in his ability to strengthen the strategic role of the Global Talent Hub while accelerating innovation and value creation across the enterprise.
