Richmond, Virginia, United States, June 2026 — Tredegar Corporation has appointed Susan E. Case Sweeney as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, she will lead the company’s enterprise-wide people strategy, talent development, leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, and workforce initiatives as Tredegar continues to strengthen its position across its industrial manufacturing businesses.
Sweeney brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning human resources, operations, manufacturing, business transformation, and executive management. Her appointment reflects Tredegar’s commitment to aligning talent, culture, and organizational capability with its long-term business objectives.
Prior to joining Tredegar, Sweeney served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Virginia Transformer Corporation, where she led enterprise HR strategy and workforce initiatives for one of North America’s leading transformer manufacturers.
Earlier, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President at EnPro Industries, where she designed and implemented talent, culture, leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the company’s global industrial technology operations. She was widely recognized for developing people-centric practices that enhanced organizational performance while supporting business growth and financial outcomes.
Sweeney also spent more than a decade with GGB Bearing Technology, where she held several senior leadership positions including President, Vice President Global Operations, and Director of Operations North America. As President, she led the global industrial technology business, overseeing strategy, operations, research and development, business development, talent management, customer relationships, and organizational transformation while delivering strong financial performance.
Before joining GGB Bearing Technology, Sweeney held multiple operational leadership positions with General Motors, including Executive Area Manager, Lead Superintendent, and Quality Director, building extensive expertise in manufacturing excellence, operational leadership, quality management, workforce development, and large-scale organizational management.
In addition to her executive responsibilities, Sweeney currently serves as a Board Member at Miller Industries and has been an Adjunct Instructor at Wilmington University for more than 16 years, teaching MBA-level courses in Organizational Behavior, Ethics, and Project Management.
With extensive experience spanning human resources leadership, talent development, organizational transformation, operations management, manufacturing leadership, culture building, learning and development, and executive governance, Sweeney is well positioned to lead Tredegar’s people agenda and support its continued growth.
