Novartis Appoints Dima Sweiss as Country President – Levant

Amman, Jordan, August 2026 — Novartis has appointed Dima Sweiss as Country President – Levant, marking a significant leadership progression within the organization. In her new role, she will lead Novartis’ business across the Levant markets, driving strategy, access, commercial execution, stakeholder engagement, and organizational performance to support the company’s mission of reimagining medicine and expanding patient impact.

Dima brings more than 20 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, oncology, hematology, market access, commercial leadership, and country operations. Prior to this appointment, she served as Ad Interim Country President for the Levant countries and Iran, following her role as Country Value and Access Head – Levant. She also previously served as Oncology & Hematology Therapeutic Area Head – Levant, giving her broad leadership exposure across both access and therapeutic-area strategy.

Her long association with Novartis Oncology includes several senior leadership positions, including Franchise Head – Hematology Levant, Hematology and Oncology Franchise Head, Head of Oncology Operations – Jordan and Palestine, and Operation Head for Jordan and Palestine, while also taking on interim leadership responsibilities for Iran. Across these roles, she led commercial operations, franchise strategy, market development, and cross-functional execution across multiple countries.

Before joining Novartis, Dima spent more than six years with Sanofi, where she progressed from Oncology Product Specialist to Oncology Product Manager. In these roles, she was responsible for the marketing of oncology brands across Jordan and Palestine, building strong expertise in oncology commercialization, product strategy, physician engagement, and market development.

Dima’s appointment reflects Novartis’ focus on strengthening leadership in the region through experienced internal talent with deep market knowledge, therapeutic expertise, and a strong track record of business and patient impact.
