Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2026 — Muthoot FinCorp Limited (MFL) has announced the appointment of Ms. Sarah M. George as an Independent Director on its Board, further strengthening the Board’s expertise in audit, assurance, governance, strategy, and leadership as the company continues to strengthen its institutional capabilities.
Ms. Sarah M. George is a Chartered Accountant and qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1990. Over a professional career spanning more than 35 years, she has worked with several leading audit and assurance organisations, including S R Batliboi (an EY affiliate firm), Haribhakti & Co., and Price Waterhouse, which she joined in March 2012.
At Price Waterhouse, she held senior leadership positions including All India Assurance Markets Leader and West Region Assurance Leader and also served as Deputy Strategy Leader for the Americas and Asia Pacific region. She was elected to the India Board of the firm in December 2018, where she served until March 2023. In addition, she served as D&I Leader for the India West Region and as Chief Presiding Officer on the Internal Complaints Committee for the regulated firms.
Her experience spans Indian and multinational, listed and unlisted companies across sectors including EPC, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, retail, IT, consumer products, engineering, shipping, and service industries.
