Tallahassee, Florida, United States, September 2024 – Jon Mark Sills has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at First Commerce Credit Union. In this role, Jon Mark will lead the development and implementation of the credit union’s human resources strategy, focusing on areas such as talent management, diversity and inclusion, and organizational development. His leadership will be instrumental in supporting the credit union’s mission of fostering a workplace culture that enhances employee engagement and organizational growth.
Prior to joining First Commerce Credit Union, Jon Mark served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Regions Bank for approximately four years. During his tenure, he successfully led performance management initiatives and played a crucial role in advancing diversity and inclusion efforts within the organization. His strategic leadership helped improve employee retention and engagement.
Before becoming Senior Vice President, Jon Mark held the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Regions Bank, where he served for about eight years. In this capacity, he managed key HR functions, including workforce planning and employee relations, and played an integral role in talent development and leadership coaching across the company.
Prior to Regions Bank, Jon Mark spent over 15 years with Northrop Grumman Corporation in various HR positions, including leadership roles. His experience at Northrop Grumman honed his skills in change management, conflict resolution, and organizational effectiveness, enabling him to drive impactful HR strategies that aligned with corporate goals.
Jon Mark’s early career included valuable experiences in HR operations and workforce development, where he developed a strong foundation in HR policy formulation and compliance, further shaping his ability to lead large HR teams effectively.
