Martha Anderson Promoted to Vice President, Talent Development at Innovative Defense Technologies

Arlington, Virginia, United States, April 2025 – Martha Anderson has been promoted to Vice President, Talent Development at Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) after more than three years of transformative contributions as Director of Talent Development. In her new role, Martha will oversee the company’s talent strategy across professional development, performance systems, leadership pipelines, and organizational culture initiatives, accelerating IDT’s mission to support the Department of Defense through cutting-edge software and cybersecurity solutions.

At IDT, Martha established and scaled the Talent Development function, increasing employee engagement from 25% to 80% while significantly reducing attrition. Her work in designing performance management platforms, leading compensation equity audits, and reengineering core HR processes has improved scalability and business alignment across the organization. She played a critical role in realigning teams, winning over $120 million in new business, and ensuring policy consistency across HR functions.

Prior to IDT, Martha served as Senior Consultant and Practice Lead at Wheelhouse Group, where she created a multi-year organizational effectiveness roadmap, led executive offsite leadership development, and boosted employee satisfaction by over 70%. Her earlier roles included Senior Manager of Learning & Development at Booz Allen Hamilton and People Strategy Lead at Bechtel National, where she implemented large-scale learning and DEI initiatives.

Across more than two decades of experience, Martha has built a reputation for transformative change leadership, executive coaching, and talent innovation in the government and defense sectors. Her background in instructional design, strategic workforce planning, and agile methodologies makes her uniquely equipped to guide IDT’s people strategy during a time of rapid technological growth.
