Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2026 — Alkem Laboratories Ltd. has appointed Abhijeet Jain as Senior Vice President – Human Resources, based at the company’s Head Office in Mumbai. In his new role, he will spearhead HR for Alkem’s manufacturing plants across India, the Taloja R&D Centre, and depot operations, with a focus on strengthening people practices, organizational capability, talent development, and high-performance culture.
Jain brings nearly three decades of leadership experience spanning Human Resources, Industrial Relations, manufacturing operations, corporate HR, administration, business strategy, CSR, legal, land management, occupational health, and community development. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources at UltraTech Cement, where he led a broad portfolio across multiple manufacturing locations and aligned people strategy with operational excellence and long-term business growth.
Prior to UltraTech Cement, Jain spent more than five years with Wockhardt Ltd., progressing from General Manager & Head HR to Senior General Manager & Head HR. He was responsible for HR leadership across manufacturing operations and supported a national footprint of 10 manufacturing plants and an R&D centre, with responsibilities spanning talent acquisition, learning and development, industrial relations, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and workforce effectiveness.
Earlier, he served as Head Plant HR at TAFE – Eicher Tractors, Head – Human Resources at Tata Advanced Systems, and Head – HR & Factory Manager at Pfizer, where he led HR transformation, integration, employee relations, plant management, and alignment with global standards. His career also includes leadership roles at ABB, Rico Auto Industries, UFlex Group, Aksh Optifibre, and earlier HR and training assignments, giving him extensive exposure across pharmaceuticals, cement, aerospace, engineering, automotive, manufacturing, and industrial businesses.
Across these roles, Jain has built deep expertise in strategic HR, industrial relations, manufacturing HR, organizational transformation, workforce productivity, leadership development, employee engagement, compliance, and stakeholder management. His appointment strengthens Alkem’s senior HR leadership as the company continues to scale its manufacturing and R&D capabilities.
