Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2026 — Ameet Khambay has joined PhillipCapital India as Senior Vice President & Head – Digital Acquisition, bringing more than two decades of experience across digital customer acquisition, sales, financial services, insurance, e-commerce, contact centres and business growth. In his new leadership role, Khambay will bring his extensive digital acquisition expertise to PhillipCapital India’s financial services business.
Before joining PhillipCapital India, Khambay served for more than six years as Vice President & Head – Digital Customer Acquisition at Sharekhan. In this role, he managed the end-to-end digital acquisition ecosystem, spanning customer acquisition, campaign performance, process improvement, compliance and revenue growth. During his tenure, he reported acquiring more than 300,000 customers and generating over ₹300 crore in brokerage, while developing strategies to expand market share across cash and derivatives segments.
Prior to Sharekhan, Khambay was Head – Digital & Tele Sales at Angel Broking, where he managed digital and telesales operations and worked on automation, lead generation, customer acquisition and performance management. Earlier, as Head – Insurance Online Sales at 5Paisa, he managed the P&L for the insurance vertical, developed digital sales processes, established insurer partnerships and led contact-centre-driven acquisition initiatives.
His earlier career includes serving as Senior Manager – Web Sales at Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, where he worked on digital business acquisition through aggregators, brokers and affiliates while managing channel profitability. He also spent more than four years in an eCommerce marketing role with AEGON Religare Life Insurance, focusing on lead generation, partnerships, telesales and cross-selling. Khambay began building his sales and operations leadership experience through roles associated with Epicenter, JP Morgan Chase and 3 Global Services between 2002 and 2010.
Across his career, Khambay has developed experience in digital strategy, customer acquisition, revenue generation, P&L management, insurance, telesales, contact-centre operations, lead generation and team leadership. His move to PhillipCapital India marks his return to a full-time financial services leadership role following a career break during which he handled family caregiving responsibilities while co-founding and managing an independent business.
