United States, August 2026 — Dominique Baillet is stepping into the role of Chief People Officer at Coinbase, marking a significant leadership progression after more than six years with the company. Baillet moves into the position after serving as VP, People, where she has held broad leadership responsibilities across Coinbase’s people organization.
Since joining Coinbase in May 2020, Baillet has played a key role in shaping the company’s people strategy with a strategic and product-oriented approach to HR. Most recently, she has overseen Total Rewards, Workplace and Employee Experience, while her previous responsibilities have included HR business partnering, HR technology, people analytics, internal communications and people operations. She also served as interim VP, External Communications from January to September 2025.
Before Coinbase, Baillet spent more than two years at Care.com, progressing to Head of US Consumer Product. In that role, she was responsible for the US consumer product organization, representing approximately 90% of company revenue, while also contributing to culture and talent initiatives. Earlier, she served as Senior Director, Growth and Product, building and leading the company’s growth organization.
Her earlier career spans leadership roles at NerdWallet, where she served as Head of Organic Growth and Director, Business Strategy & Operations, as well as Evolv, where she was Director, Customer Value and Sales Engineering. Baillet also built a strong foundation in strategy and organizational transformation during multiple tenures with Bain & Company, including as a Case Team Leader. Her broader experience includes roles with Teach For America, Sustainable Development Capital, Dalberg Global Development Advisors, and the Tennessee Department of Education.
With more than two decades of experience spanning people leadership, product, business strategy, organizational transformation and operations, Baillet brings an unusually cross-functional perspective to the Chief People Officer position. Her elevation comes as Coinbase continues to scale its global business and people infrastructure in support of its ambitions across the evolving financial and digital asset ecosystem.
