San Francisco, California, United States, May 2026 – Johnson Lieu has joined Foodsmart as Chief Product Officer, bringing deep expertise in product leadership and digital health innovation. In this role, he will lead the company’s product strategy, driving innovation to expand Foodsmart’s impact in making food care and access a central pillar of healthcare delivery in the United States.
Johnson Lieu joins Foodsmart after a distinguished career spanning product leadership across some of the world’s most influential technology and digital health organizations. Most recently, he took a brief career break focused on personal growth, advisory work, and mentoring emerging product leaders, further strengthening his strategic perspective.
Prior to this, he served as Strategic Advisor to the CEO & Product Team at Inflow, where he provided guidance on product strategy, organizational design, and scaling growth in a digital health environment.
A significant part of his career was spent at Headspace, where he rose through the ranks from Lead Product Manager to Senior Vice President of Product and Interim Chief Product Officer over nearly eight years. During this period, he led large-scale product transformation, including the expansion of Headspace into a comprehensive digital health platform offering therapy, coaching, and AI-driven experiences, and played a key role in its major merger with Ginger.
Earlier, he was part of the founding growth team at Spotify, where he served as Lead Product Manager, Growth, contributing to scaling the platform from 5 million to 70 million paid subscribers through product innovation and strategic partnerships.
His career also includes roles at Electronic Arts as a Senior Product Manager, and at Monitor Deloitte as a Strategy Consultant, building strong foundations in product development, user engagement, and strategic growth.
